Professional Profile of Robert Bertucelli, CPA
Robert Bertucelli is a Partner at the accounting and business advisory firm, Satty, Levine & Ciacco, CPAs, P.C. located in Long Island, New York. Bob has over forty three years experience in the specialized field of taxation. His experience also includes many years of working with individuals and businesses to achieve their financial goals. He is also a Professor of Accounting and Taxation at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Mr. Bertucelli has been employed by several international accounting firms. Having served in the Executive Office of one firm, he was involved in the design, renovation and teaching of their national tax training programs.
Bob is an active member in the New York State Society of CPAs, having served as a committee chairman and Executive Board member of the Suffolk Chapter as well as a member of the Board of Directors of NYSSCPAs. He also served on an AICPA task force to establish CPE requirements for CPAs specializing in Personal Financial Planning. He was the President of the Estate Planning Council of Suffolk County for the 1996-97 year and the President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals for the 2000-2001 year. He was also the Director of the C.W. Post Tax and Accounting Institute. Additionally, he served on the Board of Trustees of St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Port Jefferson, New York where he also chaired their Audit and Compliance Committee.
Bob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, as well as a Master’s degree in Taxation from C.W. Post College. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York State and holds the CFP, as well as the CLU designations.
Mr. Bertucelli has presented numerous seminars on individual, corporate and estate taxation. He was awarded the Haskins Silver Medal for his performance on the CPA exam and the FAE’s Outstanding Discussion Leader in 1987-1988 and again in 1992-1993. He has been listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Education, as well as Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, and most recently named in LIBN’s Who’s who in Accounting for 2009. Bob was also awarded the Emanuel Saxe Award from the New York State Society of CPAs as the Outstanding CPA in Education for 2001. Additionally, Bob has had three articles published in the CPA Journal, “Captive Insurance Companies” (2/2011), “The Disposition of Life Insurance Policies” (4/2007) and “Transfers with Retained Life Estates” (2001).
