Michael Freedman

Partner Michael Freedman brings a unique capability to Satty & Partners as a tax and business advisory specialist who is also a licenced attorney. As part of the tax and business advisory team, Michael assists clients with complex tax compliance, planning, and consulting matters. To this end, he brings over twenty-five years of combined experience in the accounting, tax, and legal fields, working with individuals and closely-held businesses with their individual, partnership, corporate, and estate tax needs. Previously, Michael worked at companies such as Prudential Financial and a Deere & Company subsidiary, and as a public accountant.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and is a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).

Education

Michael earned a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance Concentration), magna cum laude, from Boston University; an M.S. in Accountancy (Tax Concentration), from Long Island University, C.W. Post, where he received the Dean’s Award for outstanding academic performance; and a J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review. Michael is currently licensed as both a Certified Public Accountant and attorney in the State of New York.
