Professional Profile of Frank Sluter, CPA
Frank Sluter is the Managing Partner at the accounting and business advisory firm, Satty, Levine & Ciacco, CPAs, P.C. Mr. Sluter heads the firm’s auditing and review department, and he is also in charge of the firm’s quality control where he assists with the implementation of firm policies and procedures. Mr. Sluter specializes in auditing and consulting for governmental units and not-for-profit organizations, including recipients and sub-recipients of federal awards, private foundations, governmental agencies and civic/charitable organizations. He also specializes in pension, profit-sharing and 401K plan audits. Additionally, Frank has extensive experience working with clients in auto and truck dealerships, leasing, manufacturing, construction and medical industries.
Mr. Sluter serves on the boards of various not-for-profits. Frank is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and also serves on the NYSSCPA’s Not-For-Profit and Accounting and Review Services Committees. He is a former President of the Nassau Chapter of the NYSSCPA and has served as Chairperson of its Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee, and also as a member of its Executive Board. Frank is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Additionally, Mr. Sluter frequently lectures on behalf of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants on various accounting and auditing topics to other CPAs. As Frank is committed to furthering the accounting profession, he regularly speaks to high school and college students about the profession and careers in accounting.
Frank earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bernard Baruch College in 1989. He became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1995.
Frank has been featured in “Who’s Who in Accounting Audits”, in the Long Island Business News. Mr. Sluter is also a recipient of the Foundation for Accounting Education’s Outstanding Leadership Award. Additionally, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the St. John’s University Accounting Circle.
